The Crochet Fall Flower is a free crochet granny square pattern by Nana’s Crafty Home.
As the golden leaves of fall start to blanket the earth the Fall Flower Granny Square is a stunning ode to this season of rich autumnal colors.
This radiant and stunning flower has an almost lifelike texture provided by chain loops. This crochet fall flower has the vibrant shades of autumn chrysanthemums. Each petal is shaped with plush loops, adding depth and volume to the flower, making it pop against its backdrop.
Adorning each corner of the square there are delicate green leaves framing the flower. They are reminiscent of the last remnants of summer, bidding adieu as autumn takes center stage.
One can almost feel the warmth and comfort by just looking at it the texture of this fall flower square. The raised petals invite touch, making it a perfect addition to any autumn-themed blanket or pillow.

This fall flower square is a lot easier than it may look! The square is worked very easily in rounds of double crochet stitches with the circle portion of the square worked in orange yarn. The final several rounds of the circle are worked in the back loops only which leaves the unused front loop for the addition of the flower petals at the end.
The textured flower petals are very easy chain loops worked into the unused front loops of the square. This creates a beautifully textured flower! Even though the petals are super easy I am not going to lie – you are going to be really glad when you finish the last petal! 😅
I added simple leaves to each corner so that it will match nicely with my previous Sunflower Square. They make a lovely pair together! What a fun pillow these two squares would make!
Originally I was going to add small black safety eyes to the center of the flower square as I did for the Happy Flower Square. But then I thought why not rework my eye pattern to a smaller scale so that all the squares would look the same? And I LOVE them! They would look great on smaller amigurumi projects too!
