Free Gnome Patterns to crochet and love by Nana’s Crafty Home!
I just LOVE a cute gnome.
My garden has been full of gnomes – even before they were trendy. My grandkids love them. In fact, we have one that lives under our bridge in the back yard and when they were little they had to ask permission to cross from our little gnome under the bridge. Such a precious memory. ❤️
One of my favorite stories about Norwegian holiday gnomes comes from my favorite author, J.R.R. Tolkien in Letters From Father Christmas.* They are a collection of letters written and illustrated by J. R. R. Tolkien between 1920 and 1942 for his children, from Father Christmas. In his stories, Red Gnomes are presented as helpful creatures who come from Norway to the North Pole to assist Father Christmas and his Elves in fighting the wicked Goblins.
