Easter Basket Granny Square Pattern Details
I am working this crochet Easter basket pattern from the same base pattern as my Christmas crochet granny squares. All of the squares in this series work up to a large 14″ square. Perfect for pillows or to mix-and-match for an adorable Easter spring themed throw! These individual squares would also make wonderful wall hangings for your spring themed home decor.
This fun Easter basket is worked in double crochet stitch rounds using color work to create the basket. Then the circle is squared off.
I added a fringe grass worked in single crochet and slip stitches which disguises the roundness of the bottom of the basket. You can also hide eggs along the grass!
The bunny, chick and Easter eggs are all very simple and easy! The Easter egg is a one-round egg that would make an adorable applique for other projects as well! I have a short little video tutorial for these one-round Easter eggs they are so quick and easy! I have the video embedded below or you can watch it on YouTube. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get notified whenever I post a new video.
I am using Red Heart With Love* yarn for my squares. Red Heart With Love yarn is a medium weight #4 acrylic worsted weight yarn. These granny squares would be a great way to use up your stash, too! I ended up using Red Heart Super Saver for the bright orange color for the little chick’s beak.
