A fish crochet pattern that is quick & easy with corner to corner (c2c) crochet! A free crochet pattern by Nana’s Crafty Home.
One of our favorite things to do is go to the Omaha’s Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska. The Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium is one of our very favorite places to spend time while there. A 70 foot tunnel completely surrounds you with ocean creatures including sharks! A wonderful place to visit if you ever get the chance.
I am fascinated by the sea and sea animals and some of my favorite memories are whale watching in Hawaii and Alaska.
The Fish C2C Square is the first in a series of corner to corner graphs that I will be sharing over the next few weeks. You will be able to mix and match the squares to make your very own Sea Life Crochet Blanket!
I currently have a Whale C2C Square in the works as well as a Crab C2C Square. I am hoping to include a few more as well so that you have plenty of options when choosing the squares for your throw! Do you have any special requests – I was thinking about a sea horse, a sea turtle, stingray – any ideas??

I used the mini-hdc c2c crochet technique for this square and I ended up with a 9″ x 9″ square. You could certainly choose to use the standard dc technique which would give you a larger square.
If you are new to the corner to corner (c2c) crochet technique I have all the tutorials you need to get started. It is one of my favorite ways to bring graphs to life! Just click on the links below to head on over to learn this fun crochet technique:

I used Yarnspirations’ Caron Simply Soft yarn for my squares – I love how soft this yarn is which is perfect for blankets. However, you could certainly substitute your favorite medium worsted #4 weight yarn to get a similar result.
