Bunny's tail towel topper free crochet pattern

I recently finished releasing my Easter Squares Blanket pattern and one of the most favorited squares was my Bunny Bum Square featuring a large pom pom tail on a bunny’s bum!

And since I couldn’t resist I knew a cute little bunny butt would make an absolutely adorable towel topper, too!

This cute and quick towel topper would make a great last minute project.

I have many, many fun towel toppers on my blog and ALL of my towel topper patterns could be tackled by an adventurous beginner.  This cute bunny is made with single crochet stitches throughout!

Since this pattern works up so quickly it would make a great last minute Easter gift especially with the addition of a cute spring themed kitchen towel.

Pair this Bunny Tail Towel Topper with the Bunny Ears Towel Topper for a fun and cute matching set!

I used Red Heart With Love* yarn for my bunny tail towel topper.  Red Heart With Love yarn is a medium weight #4 acrylic worsted weight yarn. But, you could certainly use any yarn you have on hand – a fantastic project for scraps!  Especially since your bunny can be any color you choose – pink, purple, white, brown – take your pick!

Bunny Tail Towel Topper hidden ring

I have several towel toppers now that utilize a hidden 3″ ring* which allows the towel to be removable.  I purchase my rings from Amazon* but you can substitute with inexpensive plastic shower rings, wood rings or even elastic hair ties.  All have been used successfully by other makers.

*This post contains affiliate links.  You can click on any yarn or material highlighted to purchase.  I will receive a small commission if you purchase but it won’t cost you any extra!  As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

I made a very small 1″ white pom pom for my bunny tail. You could also purchase those inexpensive already made pom poms if you don’t want to make your own.  However, I have a complete set of the Clover pom pom makers from super small up to extra large and I just love them!  Always a perfect pom pom every time!
