I am currently a little bit obsessed with the Corner to Corner (C2C) crochet technique! After releasing the Unicorn C2C Scarf I knew I just had to make something with a Valentine’s theme and I just love these extra large hearts! If you like this scarf I also have the matching Heart C2C Hat which you can find as a free pattern HERE!

If you are not familiar with the Corner to Corner (C2C) technique follow the links below to find a Basic Corner to Corner (C2C) complete Photo and Video Tutorial as well as the Basic Corner to Corner How to Change Colors Tutorial.

For the hat and scarf I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn!* This is a very economical worsted weight yarn and I had the perfect colors on hand. Great way to use up my stash! However, any worsted weight yarn that you like to use would work up well in this project.

I really adore faux fur pom poms and wanted to make a little more unique pom pom edging so I added them to chains on the end of each scarf by using the elastic loop on each pom pom.

Border

Row 1:  With RS facing, attach g to any corner, ch 1, sc evenly around outside edge of scarf, placing 3 sc stitches in each corner, sl st to top of first st.

Row 2:  ch 2, hdc in each st around, placing 3 hdc stitches in the middle sc st at each corner, sl st top of first st.

Fasten off.

Pom Pom edge

I ended up with a total of 40 stitches on each end of my scarf so I separated the pom poms by 13 st to make them even.  If your st count is different just divide your total number of stitches by 3 to have even spacing between the pom poms.

With RS facing, attach g to an end corner, ch 1, sc in same sp, *ch 13, sl st to elastic loop on pom pom, ch 13, sk 12 st, sc in next st,* repeat between * * 2 more times.  Fasten off.  Repeat for 2nd edge of scarf.
