Learn how to add a crochet pom pom border with this complete photo and video tutorial by Nana’s Crafty Home!
I just finished releasing a brand new crochet blanket pattern the Winter’s Night Rhapsody Blanket as a crochet a long and the pom pom border is the finishing touch to this fun winter themed crochet stitch sampler blanket.
I love how fun pom poms are for an edging in blankets or to the ends of a scarf! In fact, I used this same crochet pom pom border for my Misty morning Triangle Scarf which is a free crochet pattern on the blog.
A crochet pompom border is a great way to add just the right 3D texture to a simple blanket – babies would love to play with those pom poms!
Crochet Pom Pom Border edging details
Crochet pom poms are made with two cluster stitches that are folded together to create the pom pom shape. The cluster stitches are worked as 4 double crochet stitches worked together as one stitch. Really simple!
I prefer to work my crochet pom pom border from the wrong side of my project. The open side of your pom pom is on the back side of your work.
I have a complete video tutorial to help you with this crochet pom pom border. You can find it below at the bottom of the post or you can watch it on YouTube. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get notified whenever I post a new video.
A crochet Pom Pom border is perfect for blankets but would also be a fun addition to the ends of a scarf or wearable. You could also add it to the outside edge of a dish or wash cloth as well.
