The Curling Waves Crochet Border is a crochet border with a unique ocean wave-like appearance. An easy two row stitch pattern with a lot of wow factor!

I recently finished up my Sea Life C2C Blanket series – a set of 12 different sea themed C2C (corner to corner) crochet graphs that I made into a fun and whimsical blanket.
I wanted a unique finish that would fit my ocean themed throw. A border that would go along with the ocean theme of the squares yet would work up quickly. After all those hours of working through that blanket I was not really anxious to do a big border.
However, borders really matter to me and I am sure they do to you, as well. You want the border to enhance your final product. I can really stress about finding right border for my blanket patterns. 😉
I am so happy with how this border turned out for my Sea Life Throw. They really do look like curling waves around the outside edge – like little water white caps.

Curling Waves Crochet Border Details
Don’t worry, this border isn’t as complicated as it may appear. The base of the border is a row of single crochet with chains and skipped stitches. The waves are multiple double crochet stitches worked over a previously worked double crochet post. Really easy to do once you know where you are working those stitches.
