Looking for a fun boho style addition to your home decor? This Flower Garden Diamond Coaster is fun, easy to make & they work up really quickly using scrap amounts of yarn!

I recently released the Spring Rhapsody Blanket pattern and I fell in love with one of the stitches I designed for the blanket – the Triads Puff Flower Crochet Stitch. This stitch is a series of puff stitches worked in combination to create the appearance of flowers. Perfect for these cute little coasters! I have a complete photo & video tutorial tutorial for the Triads Puff Flower Stitch here.

I wanted a diamond shape instead of a standard square or rectangle for my coasters and after several tries I am really happy with the final result – something just a little bit unique!

I had some Lion Brand Comfy Cotton Blend yarn* left over from my Triangle Trio Boho Vest design and since I have been on a mission to use up my scraps I thought it would be perfect for this project. However, any cotton yarn you have on hand would be good substitute.

Are you a tea or coffee person? Or a little bit of both? I confess I love both – which is odd because I never had either coffee or tea until I tried it as an adult and hated both! ?For years my caffeine came in the form of soda and now I hardly every touch soda. My husband is actually the reason I eventually became obsessed with all things coffee – the amazing aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the morning eventually won me over. ?

However, I only like coffee in the morning primarily because I don’t like decaf and I can’t have caffeine after noon or I will be awake all night. We started having a late afternoon cup of tea and I think I love tea equally well for different reasons. I would love to one day have the opportunity to experience a fancy “afternoon Tea” with cucumber sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and lemon curd. Heavenly!

I also created a short video showing you how to make the cute little DIY tassels that are optional but add a little bit of boho charm to these coasters. See the complete video tutorial below.  Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get notified whenever I post a new video.
