These super cute and super fast set of Christmas ponytail holders are great stocking stuffers or a quick way to add a touch of Christmas cuteness to a little one’s hair.

Christmas Ponytail Holder Hair Ties Pattern details

After designing the Halloween set of ponytail holders, the first thing my granddaughter Nina said is, “Now you have to make a reindeer one for Christmas Nana!”.  And, since I couldn’t say no to her I immediately got busy designing a reindeer ponytail holder.  Then I thought a snowman ponytail holder would be absolutely adorable and then couldn’t resist adding the gingerbread man option.

You may have a hard time deciding which one to make.  But, since they work up so quickly with such small amounts of yarn you can make all three! I used Red Heart Super Saver* for mine but any worsted weight yarn you have on hand will do.

*Disclosure: I only recommend products I would use myself. This post may contain affiliate links that if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you, I may earn a small commission.

Now, it may seem like a laundry list of supplies that you need to have but I would say that if you make little crochet animals you may already have most of these things somewhere in your craft room. Now, if your craft room looks like mine, they may not be easy to find but still….😂

The elastic hair ties are easy to find at most any store – my local grocery store even carries them. You will need the smallest bit of stuffing for each one, safety eyes or google eyes that you can glue on as well a small red pom pom for the reindeer. But, if you don’t want to acquire these things you could easily embroider them on as well. Get creative with the stuffing if you don’t want to purchase stuffing – use up your bits of leftover scrap yarn to fill your ponytail holders!

These are really so easy but I made a complete video tutorial for my Halloween ponytail holders in which the base is the same so you can check that out as well. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get notified whenever I post a new video.
