Lacy Crochet Scarf Pattern Details
The Candy Kisses Scarf is a top down lacy crochet scarf pattern beginning at the center. This lacy scarf pattern uses very basic stitches. The main stitch used in this crochet lace scarf is a V-stitch. A V-stitch is a double crochet, ch 1, double crochet all worked in the same stitch or space. The next repeat row is a single crochet, ch 3, single crochet into each ch-1 sp of the V-stitch from the previous row.
The corner space of each V-stitch row is a ch-2 and you will be working a sc, ch 3, sc in that corner space in the next row so I do recommend placing a stitch marker into that ch-2 space, moving it up each row so you don’t lose track of it from row to row.

The most wonderful thing about this scarf is that you can keep working to any size you desire. I used two balls of yarn for an approximate finished size of 54” wing span x 28” height. However, you can just keep repeating rows to any size you wish. Perfectly customizable!
For the final row of edging I worked a very simple single crochet and chain edging. However, the crochet scarf looks great if you finish after a row 4 repeat. No need for any fancy edging here!
I used Red Heart’s Unforgettable yarn* for this easy crochet scarf which is a lovely roving yarn that is very soft on the skin. Which makes this luxurious yarn a delight to work with and to wear! Red Heart’s Unforgettable yarn is just that — unforgettable! It has a lovely sheen and is an absolute delight to work with! There is a wide range of available colors – everything from pastels to bright and bold contrasting colors.
This scarf pattern works up beautifully in other yarns. If you have some skeins of hand-dyed yarn hanging about the house waiting for just the right scarf – this one is it! Lion Brand Lanscapes yarn would be another easy yarn substitute as well.
