If you’ve been looking for the cutest crochet daisy square to brighten up your project basket, you’ve come to the right place! The Flower Power Daisy Granny Square is bursting with sunshine, and I just know you’re going to fall in love with it the moment you pick up your hook. Whether you’re planning a cheerful blanket, a set of boho coasters, or a one-of-a-kind tote, this little square is ready to be the star of the show.
I designed this square with beginner-friendly construction in mind, but it has enough texture and interest to keep experienced crocheters engaged too. The daisy center — worked in sunny yellow and crisp white — pops beautifully against the rich olive green background.
For this pattern I used Lion Brand Made With Love The Cottony One, a weight 4 medium yarn with a wonderful cotton-acrylic blend that gives the petals great stitch definition. It’s soft, sturdy, and comes in the most gorgeous color way lineup — Summer Sun Yellow for the center, Lychee White for the petals, and Olive Twist as the main color. The finished square measures approximately 8″ x 8″, making it a perfect building block for so many projects.

Flower Power Daisy Square Design Inspiration
The Flower Power Pan Motif has been one of my favorite designs, so it felt only natural to take that gorgeous flower-like shape and give it a home inside a granny square. After a little experimenting, the Flower Power Daisy Square came to life — and I’m so excited to finally share it with you!

Why You’ll Love This Crochet Daisy Square
Easy Skill Level: This pattern is rated Easy, making it a great next step if you’re comfortable with basic stitches like single crochet, double crochet, half double and treble crochet. The construction is straightforward and clearly written so you can follow along with confidence.
Daisy Flower: The flower center features gorgeous long petals that give this square its unique look. It looks intricate, but once you get the rhythm of the petal rounds, it comes together quickly and beautifully.
Perfect Yarn Choice: Lion Brand Made With Love The Cottony One is a dream to work with. The 60% cotton / 40% acrylic blend gives you the breathability of cotton with the durability and easy care of acrylic — ideal for home décor items, bags, blankets, and accessories you’ll actually use every day.
Quick and Satisfying: You only need about 75 yards total to complete one square, so this is a wonderful stash-buster or a low-commitment project you can finish in an evening. Imagine a whole bouquet of daisy squares all in a row — stunning!

Finishing
Weave in all remaining ends securely using your tapestry needle. If desired, wet block your square by soaking it briefly in cool water, gently squeezing out the excess, then pinning it to your desired dimensions and allowing it to dry completely. Blocking opens up the flower petals beautifully and gives your daisy square a polished, professional finish. The cotton content in this yarn responds wonderfully to wet blocking!
