Here is the Flower Mum Crochet stitch Photo & Video Tutorial at Nana’s Crafty Home!
I am so excited to share this tutorial with you! I designed this stitch for my Autumn Rhapsody Stitch Sampler Blanket which is being released as a CAL (Crochet a Long) which began on 09/09/19. You can read all the details about this blanket here. This is the 8th in a series of stitch tutorials for this blanket and if you missed any you can find them here:
Lemon Peel Stitch
Sunflower Stitch
Falling Leaves Stitch
Granny Spike Stitch
Popcorn Stitch
Extreme Drop Leaf Stitch
Single Crochet Spike Stitch
I designed the Mum Stitch specifically for this blanket and it is the sister stitch to the Sunflower Stitch. Essentially the flower centers are worked the same with just a small variation. The petals are worked into the center in a different way to give them a complete different look!

Chrysanthemums are one of my favorite fall flowers – the last blooming flower of fall. I love how brightly colored the blooms are and my favorites tend to be the yellow, orange and wine colored blooms.
And even though these crocheted flowers look great in these fall colors with the intention that they look more like mums – I think they would look fantastic in other colors as well. In pink this stitch would resemble a carnation!
