I really wanted to design something unique and eye catching. You don’t see a lot of crochet patterns for hand muffs out there and I just love how retro they look — and it really is super cozy and warm!
I decided on the Balloon Stitch for the hand muff and I am so glad I did — it really makes the muff! The Balloon Stitch is a very textured stitch using back and front post double crochet stitches. If you aren’t familiar with the front and back post stitches I have a video tutorial below which will help you with those stitches.
I will also be releasing the matching hat pattern as a free pattern which will also have a video tutorial so if you want more help with the Balloon Stitch pattern be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get notified when it gets released!
