A Crochet Reindeer Pattern for a cute crochet reindeer hot pad by Nana’s Crafty Home!
This adorable crochet reindeer pattern works up quickly and easily – and makes a perfect addition to your kitchen holiday home decor.
I had a cute sewn reindeer pot holder for Christmas last year and I just knew I could make an adorable crochet version!
Such an easy pattern, too! Basically made up of double crochet rounds of varying sizes are sewn together with the addition of ears and antlers. Add simple embroidery to the front for the eyes and forehead to create this adorable hot pad.
Crochet Reindeer Pattern Details
I made my sample with Red Heart With Love* acrylic yarn which is one of my favorite go-to affordable acrylic yarns. If you are planning on making this hot pad functional I would recommend switching to a cotton yarn. Acrylic yarn will melt with the application of high heat so if you actually put a hot pan or pot on the acrylic version it would certainly melt/scorch! My hot pad is strictly decorative so acrylic is completely fine.
