Learn how to crochet a Romanian crochet cord with this complete photo & video tutorial!
Honestly, if you only learn how to crochet one cord this is definitely the one! However, if you are looking to make a more stretchy cord I have another cord tutorial to learn as well.
I recently designed a new bag pattern (free pattern coming soon!) and wanted to use crochet cords for the strap. I needed a cord that would be durable and functional yet beautiful and classy. This cord definitely hit all of those marks.
This cord uses only the single crochet stitch but the cord is created by turning and by placing the single crochet in a different place to create the cord.
This sturdy cord is flat with the same texture on both sides making the cord reversible.
I have created a video tutorial so you can see this technique in action! See the complete video tutorial below. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get notified whenever I post a new video.
