This afghan is actually easier than it may look. Using basic beginner friendly single crochet stitches throughout. If you have never done a tapestry crochet project before all you are really doing is changing colors to create the design in single crochet stitches.

Size of finished throw could easily be adjusted by changing up yarn weight or by working in half double crochet stitches instead of single crochet.
Full color graph + complete written row by row instructions are included. Graph is also split into 4 smaller graphs that can be printed and then joined together for an easy to follow full color graph.
