I have a complete set of free patterns coming up on the blog featuring the Herringbone half double crochet Stitch and I wanted to get out a tutorial so you can get acquainted with this fun stitch!
This stitch may seem a little tricky at first because (if you are like me) after years (and years!) of working the double crochet stitch I had to really think about this one to make sure I didn’t go back to working a double crochet stitch! Once I had the hang of it, it was smooth sailing. Although, I must admit if I switched up projects mid-stream and started working on something else I had to get over that awkward stage all over again when I came back. So – fair warning! ?
I really do like how this stitch works up when worked row by row. With a knit-like appearance and texture it has a modern yet classic feel. Great for a lot of different projects.
