The Lamb Cup is a free crochet pattern for an adorable miniature lamb basket by Nana’s Crafty Home!
I mentioned my love of all things lamb when I designed the Sheep Granny Square Blanket. And probably because I have always loved them, one of my (I mean my grandkid’s favorite 😉) shows is Shaun the Sheep. This fun show is frequently requested at our house and is much loved by all – even the adults. We all know the theme song by heart and I will even catch myself singing it later 🤪. You know those kid’s shows where the tune is so catchy and you’ve heard it so often you can’t get it out of your head? At least this one doesn’t make me crazy like some I might mention. Anyone else agree that the “Hot Dog Song” falls into that category??? Good luck on getting that one out of your head!
I wanted to surprise the kids for Easter this year with this little lamb cup that reminds me a bit of Shirley – the sheep that always gets stuck everywhere. And how perfect – she gets filled with candy!
This sheep cup is small enough to fit in your hand but large enough to hold enough candy for a pretty good sugar rush. It’s a great idea for a quick make – a lot faster than making a large basket. Especially if you have a lot of kids to give to.
These would also make a lovely idea for a little baby shower gift basket. Add those little personal items – diaper rash cream, moisturizer, washcloth, etc.
I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn* for my little lambs – but you could certainly use any scraps of yarn you have on hand. This is a great way to use up those scraps!
