Week in Review at Nana's Crafty Home

Week in Review at Nana’s Crafty Home September 17, 2017

It has been a busy week here at Nana’s Crafty Home!  Youngest grand baby had surgery on Friday and is doing well.  Consequently, life has been a little more hectic than normal.  Always so scary and nerve wracking any time the babies (no matter how old they get) have to go through surgery but he is home and doing well — cranky but that is to be expected!  Thanks be to God he is safely through it.  I am so glad it is over and I know his mommy is, too!

Coming home from the hospital. Bear had surgery, too!

Three Facebook Live events are in the books and I am feeling a little more comfortable each time.  I am really more accustomed to public speaking in a venue where I can see the people I am talking to and staring at my own face while talking to seemingly no one is a little weird to say the least.  Come check it out on Fridays at 4 pm CST.  I create an event every week and just get signed up — better yet like my Facebook page and you should get notified when I go live.  I love to interact with other crocheters and yarnies!

This week at Nana’s Crafty Home I shared my latest pattern the Aurora Skies Ribbed Crochet Baby Blanket made with Lion Brand Mandala yarn.  An easy and quick to work up afghan for that special baby in your life!

My most shared pattern this week has been the Sassy Autumn Ribbed Crochet Cowl and it is quite popular!  I have been blown away by the response to this easy pattern.  Go check it out!

What have I been pinning this week?

I spend a lot of time on Pinterest finding inspiration and loving the creativity of all the fabulous crochet designers out there.  Here’s what I pinned this week:

This fantastic Essentially Fall Cardigan by Taylor made with Lion Brand Mandala yarn!  Doesn’t it look comfortable?  Score!  Go check it out.

How about this convertible Cowl Poncho from Maz Kwok’s Designs?  Pattern calls for sport weight — don’t you think the Mandala yarn would be perfect for this pattern?  So beautiful!  I love items that can be worn in different ways to give it a completely different look.  Really lovely.
